Why We Offer Sliding Scale Pricing
At Half Wild Arts, we believe that wellness and self-care should be accessible to everyone. That’s why we offer sliding scale pricing—a way for you to choose the price that best matches your financial situation.
Whether you are nourishing your skin with our handcrafted herbal skincare or deepening your energy work with our Sacred Celtic Herbs, we want you to feel supported in your journey.
What Is Sliding Scale Pricing?
Sliding scale pricing means that instead of having one set price for our products, we offer four tiers:
🌱 Survive – For those who are struggling financially and need a little extra support.
🌿 Thrive – For those who are covering their needs but don’t have much extra.
🌳 Grow – For those who have stability and can contribute more to support small businesses like ours.
✨ Market Price – The standard price, which reflects what our competitors charge for a similar product.
We trust you to choose the price that best reflects your ability to pay. No questions asked. 💚
Why Do We Do This?
We know that herbal skincare and plant medicine should never be a luxury only available to a few. We also recognize that financial situations vary widely—what feels affordable to one person might be out of reach for another.
By offering sliding scale pricing, we aim to:
✔️ Make holistic skincare accessible to more people
✔️ Support our community without creating financial barriers
✔️ Sustain our farm and apothecary by allowing those who can pay more to do so
If you are in a place to contribute at the Grow or Market Price level, you help to keep this system running so that others who need support can also access our products. It’s a cycle of care—just like the way we tend our herbs and they, in turn, take care of us.
Luxury Without the Mark-Up
Most high-end skincare brands don’t charge more because their ingredients are better—they charge more because of branding. Their huge markups pay for celebrity endorsements, extravagant packaging, and expensive ad campaigns—not necessarily for the quality of the product inside the jar.
At Half Wild Arts, we do things differently. We handcraft every product in small batches using herbs we grow ourselves, without the inflated price tag. Our Market Price reflects what other high-quality, natural skincare brands charge, but with us, you're paying for the product—not the prestige.
This means that when you shop with us, you get luxury skincare without the luxury markup.
How to Choose Your Price
Simply select the price tier that resonates with your current situation when checking out. No applications, no proof of income—just honesty, trust, and community care. In the years that we have offered sliding scale pricing, the orders have balanced themselves out, with the same number of people choosing the lower tier as choose the higher tier.
This model is a commitment to solidarity, not charity. It’s about making sure that herbal skincare stays in the hands of the people, no matter their circumstances.
🌿 Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Your support allows us to continue growing, crafting, and sharing plant-based wellness with the world.
Land Acknowledgement
We humbly acknowledge that our farm is located on the traditional lands of the Abenaki people (alnôbak), who have lived in and cared for this region of N’dakinna—the unceded ancestral homeland of the Abenaki and Wabanaki peoples—since time immemorial. The Abenaki have stewarded these lands, farming along the banks of the Upper Connecticut River Valley since the glaciers receded, cultivating the rich biodiversity and fertile soils that continue to sustain this region today.
Looking from North Haverhill towards Mt. Moosilauke.
The sister towns of Haverhill, NH, and Newbury, VT, located on either side of Kwanitekw (the Connecticut River), are the site of the historic Abenaki settlement known as Koas. The name refers to the towering white pines that once dominated the landscape and are now regaining their height after centuries of logging. Koas was a vital part of Abenaki life, a place of agriculture, hunting, and trade, where families tended fields of corn, beans, and squash along the fertile riverbanks, where many of our neighbors still grow corn and pumpkins today. This land remains deeply connected to Abenaki history and resilience, and we honor the ongoing presence of Indigenous people who continue to call this region home.
We recognize that the continued presence of Indigenous people in this region has been deliberately erased through colonization, displacement, and systemic efforts by local governments to obscure their existence. Indigenous families were forced to flee to Canada or hide their heritage to survive, and the Abenaki people were struck from official records, creating the illusion that they had disappeared. But the Abenaki people are still here. Their cultures and traditions remain strong, and they continue to practice and pass down their knowledge of the land.
We acknowledge that we benefit from living and farming on these lands, and we commit to honoring the stewardship, resilience, and rights of Indigenous people, following their leadership and land practices whenever possible. We encourage everyone to learn about the original peoples of the land where they live and to seek ways to stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities.

We ship plastic-free using compostable and biodegradable materials, so your order arrives safely without adding to the waste stream. And we exclusively ship with USPS, supporting the only carrier that serves every address in the country while keeping carbon emissions lower than private carriers.
Sustainable, transparent, and fair—just how we think shipping should be. 🚛♻️💚
Why We Ship With USPS: Supporting People, Not Just Packages
At Half Wild Arts, we carefully choose every ingredient, material, and process that goes into our products—and that includes how we ship them to you. That’s why we’re committed to using the United States Postal Service (USPS) for all our online orders.
A Service for the People
Unlike private shipping companies, USPS isn’t a for-profit business. It was founded in 1775, before the Declaration of Independence was even signed, to ensure that all Americans—no matter where they lived—had access to reliable mail service. Today, it remains a public institution designed to serve the people, not shareholders.
USPS delivers everywhere, from bustling cities to the most remote rural areas (including ours!), without surge pricing or extra fees based on location. No other shipping company does that.
Why This Matters
Supporting USPS means supporting a service that:
📬 Keeps small businesses thriving by offering affordable, flat-rate shipping
📬 Provides stable jobs with fair wages to hundreds of thousands of workers
📬 Connects communities, ensuring that even rural customers receive essential mail and packages
📬 Stands for democracy, allowing people to vote by mail, receive medications, and stay connected
Our Commitment
When you place an order with us, you’re not just supporting a small, farm-based business—you’re also investing in a system that has served the American people for nearly 250 years. By choosing USPS, we’re helping keep that tradition alive.
So, the next time you see that little blue and white box on your doorstep, know that it represents something bigger: community, fairness, and a commitment to keeping essential services accessible to all.
Thank you for being part of this mission with us. 💛🌿
Big News: We’re Ditching the Algorithm (Join Us!)
We have some big news, and we’re just going to say it: We’re officially breaking up with the algorithm. 💔 It’s not us—it’s them.
Over the past few years, social media has become more unpredictable, more pay-to-play, and honestly, more exhausting. Small brands like ours are being buried under ads and ever-changing rules, making it harder and harder to connect with the people who actually want to hear from us—you.
So, we’re trying something different. We’re leaning into what actually works: direct connection.
We’re excited to announce that we’re growing our Half Wild Arts community through two direct-to-you newsletters—and when you subscribe, we’ll send you a 10% off coupon for our online store!
🌿 Our E-Newsletter (Biweekly)
Delivered straight to your inbox every other week, our email newsletter is short and sweet, with product updates, exclusive discounts, seasonal skincare tips, and special announcements. It’s the best way to make sure you never miss a sale or a new product launch.

🛤 Our Substack (Weekly)
Substack is where we get to slow down and share longer-form stories, deep dives into herbal skincare, and behind-the-scenes updates from our farm. This is for those of you who want to go deeper—learning more about the plants we grow, the rituals behind our products, and what’s really happening in the world of natural skincare.
📖 Subscribe to our Substack here
💌 As a thank-you for signing up, we’ll send you a 10% off coupon for our online store! Whether you join our e-newsletter, our Substack, or both, you’ll get a discount to use on your next order.
We’re so grateful to have you on this journey with us. If you know someone who’d love what we do, invite them to join us here. Let’s build something real—together.
